Disney to make an appearance at DU

Disney hits the road this month and has picked Denver as one of its stops.

DU’s University College is hosting the Disney Institute’s traveling professional development program in an all-day event on June 10.

The program, “Disney Keys to Excellence,” will present an opportunity to learn the best business practices from Disney insiders and discover ways to adapt and apply those practices.

The program will include four 90-minute sessions:

Leadership: Discover how effective leadership has been the catalyst at Disney to drive employee and customer satisfaction and bottom-line results.
Management: Examine the importance of integrating an organization’s corporate culture into selection, training and care of employees.
Service: Explore world-renowned Disney principles for service excellence.
Loyalty: Learn the key practices in building and sustaining loyalty that has made Disney a trusted and revered brand around the world for more than 75 years.

The event will take place in the Newman Center for the Performing Arts from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Registration and fees for the program are $395 a person. Discounts are available for groups of 10 or more.
