DU commemorates Earth Day

The University of Denver Environmental Team will host a variety of earth-friendly events to commemorate Earth Day. Events will take place April 24–26.

Do it locally on April 24 will provide opportunities for local environmental actions. A table will be set up for writing to Colorado elected officials regarding environmental issues. An ecological footprint table will illustrate the impact of consumption on the earth.

Do it together on April 25 will focus on transportation. Free bicycle tune-ups and Regional Transportation District schedules will be available. A mass bike ride around campus is also planned.

Do it naturally on April 26 will focus on the outdoors with lessons in composting, a tree hugging and seed give-away.

Most events will take place on Campus Green. For more information, contact Eric Kornacki at ekornack@gmail.com.
