DU to hold Easter, Passover events

The annual Easter egg hunt is at 11 a.m. Saturday.

The DU community will participate in several religious and seasonal observations over the next two weeks.

Good Friday Service

A nondenominational Good Friday service will be led by DU Chaplain Gary Brower at noon April 6 in Evans Chapel.

Egg Hunt

The Staff Advisory Council and Faculty Senate host Easter entertainment that will last about 5 minutes — which is all the time it takes for kids to find and collect 3,000 eggs that are stuffed with candy.

The 20th annual egg hunt is at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 7, in DU’s Humanities Garden. Different age groups will scour different sections of the garden for candy and prizes.

The egg hunt is for DU staff and faculty and their families, and attendees should bring their own basket. Free parking will be available in the H1 and H2 lots. The event will not be relocated or postponed in the event of poor weather.

Passover
Hillel, DU’s student Jewish group, is celebrating Passover with a sold-out First Night Seder dinner on April 6.

Hillel also will serve kosher lunches for Passover April 9–12 on the Driscoll Bridge and will host a Matzah Pizza night on April 10.

Hillel and Chabad will serve kosher dinners for students on April 9 and 11.

For more information about the Passover events, contact Josh Samet, campus director of DU’s Merage & Allon Hillel Center at Josh@hillecolorado.org or 303-777-2773, ext. 223.
