Two events designed to stir debate about U.S. fiscal policy are coming to DU on Oct. 22.
The University’s Institute for Public Policy Studies and the Washington, D.C., based Concord Coalition are co-sponsoring the Fiscal Wake-Up Tour and Paying for America Summit in the Cable Center at DU.
The Fiscal Wake-Up Tour event is open to the public and will be from 7–9 p.m. It features former U.S. Comptroller General David Walker and a panel of national fiscal policy experts.
The Paying for America Summit, running from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., is an opportunity for students and community leaders to learn about America’s fiscal condition. The event is open to students.
“Fiscal policy is an issue that should concern everyone whether they are a Democrat, Republican or independent,” says Richard Caldwell, co-director of the Institute for Public Policy Studies. “These two events are designed to allow Coloradans an opportunity to get informed about the financial dangers that confront our nation.”
