You don’t have to go far to find entertainment this holiday season. DU has the following events to offer:
Cleo Parker Robinson Dance Ensemble: Granny Dances to a Holiday Drum
When: Dec. 8, 9, 15, 16, 21, 22 and 23 at 2 p.m. Dec. 8, 15, 21 and 22 at 7:30 p.m.
Where: Byron Theatre, Newman Center
What: A Denver tradition for 16 years, Granny Dances to a Holiday Drum is a multi-cultural holiday experience celebrating traditions from around the world through dance, live music and spoken word.
A capella holiday show
When: Dec. 8, 15 and 22 at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
Where: Gates Concert Hall
What: Sound of the Rockies, Colorado’s premier 100-voice men’s a cappella chorus, presents its annual holiday concert, a celebration of sacred and secular music from around the world.
Cherry Creek Dance: Legends
When: Dec. 9 at 11 a.m., 2:30 p.m. and 6 p.m.
Where: Gates Concert Hall
What: Cherry Creek Dance presents its annual winter recital, Legends, featuring music from across the rock and roll spectrum. Performers range in age from 2 to adult.

Carillon Holiday Concert
When: Dec. 9 at 3 p.m.
Where: Williams Tower, Ritchie Center
What: The ninth annual carillon concert is a holiday favorite at DU. Todd Fair will be acting as carillonneur, and music will include traditional holiday fair. Williams Tower houses the Williams Carillon, a set of 65 chromatically turned bronze bells.

A Christmas Carol
When: Dec. 15, 16 and 22 at 2 p.m. Dec. 14, 15, 21 and 22 at 7 p.m.
Where: Little Theatre, Margery Reed Hall
What: Cast members, ranging in age from 6 to 18, will present the Christmas classic, directed by Anthony Hubert, assistant professor in the theater department.

Young Voices of Colorado: Season of Light
When: Dec. 15 at 7 p.m.
Where: Gates Concert Hall
What: Young Voices of Colorado — a children’s choir of 170 singers ages 7–16 — will perform.
Lorie Line Holiday Show: The Glory of Christmas
When: Dec. 19 and 20 at 7:30 p.m.
Where: Gates Concert Hall
What: The show explores fact and fantasy and takes audiences back in time 2,000 years to Nazareth and Rome. The show also will feature carols and the history of the Twelve Days of Christmas.
The Denver Brass: Rhapsody for a New Year
When: Dec. 31 at 4 and 8:30 p.m.
Where: Gates Concert Hall
What: The 13-part brass ensemble, along with guest conductor Lowell Graham and pianist Alice Rybak, will help celebrate the New Year.
