Background
Susan Schulten has general familiarity with American history, and can speak specifically to questions and issues related to the history of American politics and culture. Her first book, “The Geographical Imagination in America, 1880-1950” (University of Chicago Press, 2001), was a study of the way Americans understood the world through geography and maps from the 1870s to the 1940s.
