Follow the Pioneers on Social Media Networks

Fans of the University of Denver Pioneers are encouraged to follow their favorite teams via the Pioneers’ social media channels to get the most up-to-the-minute news, scores, interviews, highlights, live blogs and event updates.

TWITTER

DU uses Twitter to send out breaking news and scores about all your favorite Pioneer teams. Twitter is a free micro-blogging service that allows users to send and read messages known as tweets from followers. Tweets are text-based messages of up to 140 characters that are displayed on your profile page and delivered to other subscribers that are following you. Each of the Pioneers’ 17 varsity sports has a Twitter account for their fans to get an inside look into the program.

 FACEBOOK

DU uses its Facebook Fan Page to update followers of upcoming events and promotional activities at all Pioneer home events, as well as post any news pertaining to the University of Denver Division of Athletics. All the Pioneers’ 17 varsity sports have a Facebook Fan page for their fans to interact and engage with one another.

COVERITLIVE

Fans can follow the Pioneers’ interactive in-game blog for select DU sports programs through CoverItLive. The in-game blogging tool allows fans to ask questions and post comments about what is happening during the game. CoverItLive powers live events with social engagement for thousands of digital destinations around the world. It is actively used both by traditional bloggers as well as those in mainstream media. CoverItLive blogs can be found in the game previews on www.DenverPioneers.com as well as in the Live Stats window.

YOUTUBE

Fans can also watch past highlight videos and interviews with current and former coaches and student-athletes on www.YouTube.com/DUAthletics. YouTube is a video sharing Web site on which users can upload, share and view videos.

YAMMER

DU uses Yammer to communicate with DU faculty and staff about news and upcoming athletic events. Yammer is a free service that is available to all those who have a DU.edu email address. The Denver Athletics and Recreation group is open to all those on Yammer who would like to receive information from the athletic and recreation departments, as well as interact with other fellow staff members.
