Starting on Sept. 1, DU staff, students and employees must display new parking permits for the 2011-12 year.
Permits purchased online were mailed to each permit holder’s home beginning in mid-August. The sticker should be displayed on the lower left-hand corner of the windshield in a manner that does not interfere with the driver’s view. Expired permits must be removed.
Parking enforcement officials will be on the lookout for motorists who have forgotten to switch their permits. Each permit holder receives one “oops” voucher that excuses one legitimate parking violation in their lot each year.
Permits for the 2011-12 year are still available and can be purchased on the Parking and Transportation office website.
