DU to host Frozen Four pre-game party

After losing to Wisconsin on March 29, the Pioneers won’t be at the big dance — the NCAA Frozen Four — but the University of Denver has an important role as co-host with the Metro Denver Sports Commission.

It will be the Division I Men’s Ice Hockey Championship’s first time in Denver since 1976. College hockey’s biggest competition takes place April 10–12 at the Pepsi Center in downtown Denver.

DU will host a Frozen Four gathering prior to the semifinal games for all DU alumni, students, friends and fans on April 10, 2 p.m.–4 p.m. at Wynkoop Brewery in LoDo, 1634 18th St. Appetizers and beverages will be available. AnRSVP is appreciated, but not required.

NCAA semifinals take place April 10 with University of North Dakota vs. Boston College at 4 p.m. and Michigan vs. Notre Dame at 7 p.m.

The championship game takes place April 12 at 5 p.m. Tickets are sold out, but games will be televised live on ESPN and ESPN2. Check local listings.
