Daniels College of Business posts strong showing in U.S. News rankings

DU’s Daniels College of Business ranked 83rd in the 2010 U.S.News & World Report annual college rankings for undergraduate business programs, which were released last week.

Daniels tied with 17 other schools including Texas Christian University, Loyola University Chicago, Brandeis University, Marquette University and George Mason University. The list ranked 183 undergraduate business programs from across the country.

To determine undergraduate business school rankings, U.S. News surveyed deans and senior faculty at each undergraduate business program accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. The list was released along with the magazine’s annual undergraduate education rankings, where DU placed 84th overall.

“The undergraduate program of the Daniels College of Business ranks among the top business programs in the U.S. because of the powerful community established between our corporate partners, faculty, staff, students and alumni,” says Daniels Dean Christine Riordan. “We’ve always taken a bigger, broader approach to business education. This acknowledges our long tradition of excellence as well as our rigorous training in business fundamentals, values-based leadership and ethical decision making.”

Daniels ranked 83rd in the 2009 rankings as well.
