DU finds itself just outside the top 100
DENVER –In the 2013 Forbes Magazine’s annual ranking of the top 650 colleges and universities in America, the University of Denver placed fourth amongst institutions of higher education in Colorado and #103 nationally.
The publication’s “America’s Top Colleges” edition, released July 24, also lists the University of Denver at #79 in Private Colleges, #55 in Research Universities and #20 in the West.
“The Forbes Top Colleges” ranking is calculated by the Center for College Affordability and Productivity in Washington, D.C. and is based on what students are getting out of their college experience. The criteria includes student satisfaction, the likelihood of graduating in four years, amount of debt incurred getting the degree, and, the likelihood of getting a good job and finding professional success after graduation.
This adds to the suite of rankings recognition received by the University of Denver. In the 2012 Forbes ranking, the University of Denver ranked #126 and U.S. News & World Report ranked the University of Denver #83.
