The University of Denver’s Magness Arena is packing the rock ’n’ roll into one October week this fall. The venue has announced an Oct. 21 concert by rock legend Bob Dylan, the 68-year-old composer of timeless hits including “Like a Rolling Stone,” “Blowin’ in the Wind” and “The Times They Are a-Changin.’” Matchbox 20 frontman and Carlos Santana collaborator Rob Thomas takes the Magness Arena stage just six days later on Oct. 27.
General admission and reserved tickets for the Dylan show are $49.50–$59.50 and go on sale at 10 a.m. Sept. 12 through Ticketmaster at www.ticketmaster.com. DU students can purchase general admission tickets for $39.50 at the Ritchie Center box office beginning at the same time.
Dylan’s latest album, Together Through Life, was released in May; he plans to release a holiday album titled Christmas in the Heart on Oct. 13. Dylan is donating all his royalties from the Christmas album to Feeding America, a nonprofit dedicated to feeding low-income Americans.
