The Denver women’s lacrosse team concludes its home schedule with games against Stanford on Saturday and San Diego State on Monday. DU will honor seniors Laura Connors, Ashley Harman, Melissa Maier and Becca Steinberg prior to Saturday’s game.
The Pioneers are 5-14 all-time against the Cardinal, which has won the past seven Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Tournament titles. The Aztecs are in their inaugural season. Denver, which is on an eight-game winning streak, is second in the nation in caused turnovers with 11.6 per game, including an NCAA-leading 2.8 per game by junior Kate Henrich. Redshirt junior Kara Secora has 16 goals and 15 assists, and freshman Jill Remenapp has 10 goals and 21 assists. Remenapp is 14th in the nation with 2.33 assists per game.
