The University of Denver men’s lacrosse team clinched the Eastern College Athletic Conference regular season title and the top seed in the conference tournament with a 12-4 victory over Michigan Saturday afternoon at Peter Barton Lacrosse Stadium in front of 1,909 fans. With the win, the Pioneers close their regular season with a record of 11-3, 6-1 in ECAC play. This is the Pioneers third ECAC regular season title since joining the league in 2010.
Senior Cameron Flint led the Pioneers with three goals and one assist, while classmate Eric Law finished with one goal and tied his career high with four assists. Law’s tally brings his season total to 59 points on 30 goals and 29 assists.
The Pioneers will open ECAC Tournament action on Thursday, May 2, when they take on No. 4 seeded Fairfield in Geneva, N.Y., at Boswell Field.
