DU to award more than 1000 undergraduate diplomas

The University of Denver will award diplomas to 1,010 students at the undergraduate Commencement ceremony on June 5.

Dr. Patricia Gabow will deliver the Commencement address. She serves as CEO of Denver Health and Hospital Authority. Gabow is nationally recognized for her work to increase access to basic health care for all Coloradans, especially the underserved, most of whom are women and children.

Gabow has been awarded the Florence Rena Sabin Award for medical education and public health advocacy and elected to the Colorado Women’s Hall of Fame for her commitment to Colorado’s health care.

Tickets are required for the undergraduate ceremony, and will be distributed to graduating students during cap and gown rental on June 2. Each undergraduate student is allocated five tickets.

The ceremony begins at 9:30 a.m. in DU’s Magness Arena. Doors will open at 8:30 a.m. Free parking will be available across campus. For more information or to watch the Commencement ceremony, visit www.du.edu/commencement.
