Penrose Library offers new paging service

When students, faculty and staff return fall quarter, they’ll have a new service at Penrose Library. It’s called a paging service.

Patrons can request items and library staff will have them available within 24 hours for pick-up at the circulation desk. For example, anything requested before 4 p.m. Sunday through Thursday will be available at the desk at 8 a.m. the following day.

“It’s just one more way we’re trying to better serve our patrons,” says Bethany Sewell, a DU access services librarian.

This service is available for current DU students, faculty and staff. Other patrons may ask for staff assistance to place items on hold. Videos and music library items are not a part of the service.

Requests for print or electronic articles may be submitted through the Interlibrary Loan link. Click the “Request It” button in the library catalog to record of the items you want and submit your request. Full information is on the Paging Services website.
