Denver’s arts calendar is typically packed with concerts, plays, exhibits and readings. But during Denver Arts Week — scheduled for Nov. 7–15 — art lovers face an embarrassment of riches.
Staged at various locations throughout the city and billed as a celebration of the city’s vibrant arts and cultural scene, Denver Art Week introduces a new feature this year: ArtDenver, an indoor fine arts experience featuring national artists, Colorado makers, art installations, interior design and fashion. With the University of Denver as one of its associate sponsors, ArtDenver takes place Nov. 14, 15 and 16 at the Colorado Convention Center.
Produced by the Cherry Creek Arts Festival, ArtDenver includes a juried art show with 135 visual artists from all over the country. The artists will exhibit in 13 media categories, including ceramics, mixed media, digital art, photography, metal works and drawing. A complete list of artists is available here, and tickets can be purchased here.
In addition to the visual arts displays, visitors will enjoy fashion trunk shows and handmade goods, foods and beverages from Colorado makers.
“We are thrilled to offer Denver urbanites an exciting new venue for experiencing art,” said Terry Adams, Cherry Creek Arts Festival president and CEO. “As the finale event of Denver Arts Week, ArtDenver will bring together artists and art patrons, highlighting our vibrant arts and culture community and engaging our sophisticated city dwellers.”
