DU’s University College is offering “A Taste of Languages” for individuals interested in learning or refining a foreign language. The event is Aug. 31 from 6–8 p.m. in Sturm Hall.
The program features 30-minute lessons in select languages accompanied by dishes from their traditional cuisines. Languages include: Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Hindi, Italian, Persian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Swedish and Yiddish.
Attendees also will have an opportunity to learn about the curriculum, teaching methods and materials used in the courses — not to mention sampling an assortment of foods.
