Events aimed at showing DU community how to keep to the code

Do you honor the code?

DU’s Office of Student Conduct along with members of the Honor Code Advisory Council are hoping students, staff and faculty think about this question during Honor Code Celebration Week.

The week will include events and activities designed to engage DU community members in thinking about their own actions and how they “Honor Themselves, Honor the Code.”

A student-driven “Honor Code In Action Video Contest,” which encourages students to creatively think about the Honor Code, Pioneer Pledge or the University’s core values, culminates at 7:55 p.m. Nov. 2, when the winning entry will be revealed prior to the DUPB Film. The event is open to the DU community.

Bulletin Boards around campus will be available for community members to share how they “Honor the Code.”  The week concludes on Nov. 5 with a service day for Greek and other student organizations.

For a full schedule and more information, visit the Honor Code Celebration Week webpage.

Faculty members can learn how to promote a culture of integrity in their classrooms by checking out the Honor Code Portfolio.

DU’s Honor Code was first adopted on Sept. 3, 2000, at Pioneer Passage.
