Mixed martial arts competition comes to DU’s Magness Arena

Local mixed martial arts fighters will compete in MMA “Undefeated” on Friday Aug. 28 in Magness Arena.

“The promoter, Rocky Mountain Nationals MMA, chose this venue because their events were out-growing the spaces they typically are in,” says Michael Burns, DU’s director of commercial events. “They are working on building their event, and our venue seemed to be a good fit.”

Doors open at 6 p.m. and show starts at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are on sale on ticketmaster.com
or at the Ritchie Center box office between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Prices are $38 for general admission, $28 for students with valid DU ID and $68 for floor seating.

Groups of eight can purchase a ringside table for $700. Table seating provides each guest with a T-shirt, event program and family-style dinner of barbecue chicken, mashed potatoes, corn, rolls, brownies and two beers.

Free parking is available in lots 402 and 108 for ticket holders. To view the locations of these lots, visit http://www.du.edu/events/MapConcert.html.

These fighters from around Colorado will compete: Steve Granieri, Jared Deaguero, Ryan Martinez, Joe Trujillo, Nick Buschman, Nick Meyer, Miah Gutierrez, Mike Jones, Chris Jones, Chad Romero, LT Loranti, Ray Hall, Mickey Koonce, Tam Gerl, Prentice Ingram, Chess Zerby and Valentine Maquez.
