Olympic medalist Shannon Miller will be DU’s guest of honor at the Pioneers’ gymnastics meet versus Brigham Young University and the University of California, Berkeley on March 16, 7 p.m. in Magness Arena.

Miller has earned seven Olympic and nine World Championship medals — more than any other American gymnast. She won five medals (two silver and three bronze) at the 1992 Olympics and added two more gold medals to her collection after competing at the 1996 Olympic games in Atlanta.

Miller is the fifth Olympic athlete to attend a University of Denver varsity gymnastics competition.

Miller will make her appearance on DU faculty and staff appreciation night. That night, staff and faculty are eligible for two free tickets to the meet, refreshments and a drawing for DU tickets and gear. Reservations are required and will be accepted through March 14.
