Monster House and World Trade Center are just a couple of the movies that DU students and other members of the DU community can see for free this quarter, thanks to the efforts of the DU Programs Board (DUPB).
Every Thursday night at 8 through Nov. 16, DUPB will screen a newly released film in Sturm Hall’s Davis Auditorium.
Sept. 14: Cars
A Disney animation which enlists the familiar voices of Owen Wilson, George Carlin, Cheech Marin, Paul Newman and others.
Sept. 21: Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest
A swashbuckler that stars Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightly.

Adam Sandler pauses and fast-forwards through his life.
Oct. 5: Superman Returns
The latest version features Brandon Routh, whose eerie resemblance to Christopher Reeves helped him get the part. Kate Bosworth plays Lois Lane.
Oct. 12: Little Man
Marlon Wayans adopts a small criminal in this comedy.
Oct. 19: Lady in the Water
The M. Night Shyamalan thriller is based on a bedtime story Shyamalan told his children.
Oct. 26: Monster House
This animated film is about three teenagers who discover their neighbor’s house is alive.
Nov. 2: Talladega Nights
Will Ferrell plays NASCAR driver Ricky Bobby.
Nov. 9: World Trade Center
Nicholas Cage portrays a firefighter involved in the rescue efforts after the Sept. 11 attack.
Nov. 16: Pulse
This science fiction horror flick is about invaders that use wireless technology as a porthole to enter our world.
