Public skate to benefit American Cancer Foundation

DU’s Ritchie Center is holding a Skate for the Cure event as a way of contributing to Breast Cancer Awareness month.

Five percent of the fees collected from public skating in Joy Burns arena will benefit the American Cancer Foundation. The sessions will be from 7:30–9 p.m. on Oct. 16 and Oct. 23.

“This year our focus is to educate our members and give back to the community,” says Tiffany Ulatowski, athletics and recreation manager. “We have several members who have or are battling breast cancer as well as other forms of cancer. We believe it is important to support our members in their battle and support anything we can to help find a cure for cancer.”

The cost is $5 for adults and $4 for kids 12 and under. Skate rental is $2.
