Editor’s Note

DU launched the University of Denver Magazine six years ago, and since its inception, the magazine has garnered more than 50 awards for excellence.

Much more important than awards, however, has been the response of our readers. In our most recent reader survey, for example, more than 80 percent of respondents rated the writing, photography, readability and design as “excellent” or “good.”

Still, we know we can do even better at carrying out the magazine’s mission — to connect readers to each other and to the University — and that it’s time for some changes.

So, the next issue of the University of Denver Magazine will look quite a bit different.

The magazine will continue to include all of the things readers say they like most — news about classmates and the University, stories about academic matters and a hefty helping of nostalgia. The revamped magazine also will include some new things readers have asked for, including more information about the arts and articles on topics that matter to citizens of the Rocky Mountain region. In addition, some articles will link to a new Web site for special multimedia content.

We think you’ll also find that the updated design will make it easier to scan, read and navigate each issue.

Watch your mailbox for the new and improved University of Denver Magazine, which will arrive in early September. Please let us know what you think of the changes.
