Background
Bob McGowan was named assistant professor for the Daniels College graduate program in 1983, associate professor in 1985, and professor in 1995. He has also served as visiting professor of management at National Yunlin University of Science and Technology in Taiwan. When working with the media, McGowan is able to discuss the future of the business economy. He provides context for discussions of mergers and acquisitions, industry-specific issues, and economic development in the Denver-metro area. Additionally, his experience in China and in developing countries enables him to speak about economics in the developing world. Bob McGowan has worked for the Federal Government and Deloitte. He has worked extensively with a variety of businesses in the area of strategic positioning, management of growth, and alliance strategies. He also served as a consultant to the Governor’s Office on high tech development and economic development.
