Background
Bruce Uhrmacher is Professor of Education and Chair of Curriculum and Instruction, Morgridge College of Education. He is Co-editor of “Intricate Palette: Working the Ideas of Elliot Eisner”. He is faculty advisor for the Aesthetic Education Institute of Colorado (AEIC). He has served as the book review editor for the International Journal of Leadership in Education and as President of the American Association for Teaching and Curriculum. In 2004, he was honored with the University of Denver Distinguished Teaching Award. His research interests include alternative education, Waldorf schools, curriculum theory and practice, and understanding teaching, curriculum, and learning from artistic and aesthetic viewpoints.
