Daniels College of Business to present speech by Amar Bhide

Columbia University professor is expert on innovation and international business

The Daniels College of Business at the University of Denver will present a Power Breakfast with Dr. Amar Bhide, author of “The Venturesome Economy,” on Friday, April 24 from 7:30-9 a.m. at the School of Hotel, Restaurant & Tourism Management, 2044 East Evans Avenue in Denver. He’ll talk about the importance of applying globally developed knowledge and technology to businesses and products in the United States to advance our economy.

Bhide is the Glaubinger Professor of Business at Columbia University. He is editor of “Capitalism and Society,” a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, and the author of “The Origin and Evolution of New Businesses.” A former McKinsey & Company consultant, Bhide was educated at the Indian Institute of Technology and Harvard Business School, where he graduated as a Baker Scholar and later served as an associate professor. He has lectured widely on the topic of innovation, most recently at Oxford University.
