Background
Prof. David Thomson received a B.A. degree from Columbia College in New York in 1979. He received a J.D. degree from Vanderbilt University Law School in Nashville, Tennessee. He has 21 years of private practice litigation experience, and has served as an adjunct faculty member at Cardozo in New York and at DU for seven years before joining the DU faculty full-time. Most of his 21 years of law practice was in Environmental, Construction, & Indian law litigation. At DU he teaches “The Lawyering Process” course. Thomson served on the Legal Education and Admissions Committee of the Colorado Bar Association for six years, and was Chairman of that committee from 1993-1996.
