Franklin L. Burns School of Real Estate and Construction Management at the Daniels College of Business Hosts Prominent Chinese Businessman

Economic development and increased Chinese funding of American universities to be discussed

at DU reception on May 10

DENVER— Join Dr. Mark Lee and the Franklin L. Burns School of Real Estate and Construction Management at the University of Denver’s (DU) Daniels College of Business as they host a reception for Mr. Xu Changdown at 5 p.m. on Monday, May 10. Mr. Xu is a prominent figure within China and is being considered to lead an international university that will educate more than 100,000 students each year.

An in-depth discussion of how many jobs China may be able to create or save in the United States by increasing China’s investment in American universities will be the focus of Mr. Xu’s visit.

During his visit, Mr. Xu will determine the possibility of sending up to 100 students a year from China to Daniels College of Business. He is also involved with a large group of Chinese businessmen who want to invest directly in private and public businesses in the United States.
