Background
Dr. Rahmat Shoureshi received a PhD in electromechanical systems from MIT in 1981. He has more than two decades of research and development experience with industry and government agencies. He has developed a university office technology transfer, and formed spin-off companies. He also has developed several cross-disciplinary engineering programs. His expertise is in intelligent control systems; design of sensors and actuators; smart civil structures; automation in energy & electric power systems; active noise & vibration control; robotics & intelligent systems; design of monitoring & self-diagnosing systems; and biomedical devices.
