Background

Tom Russell’s expertise includes torts, contracts, American legal history, and restorative justice. Outspoken and concise, he has appeared in the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, NPR’s All Things Considered, CPR’s Colorado Matters, American Public Radio’s “Marketplace,” Houston Chronicle, Rocky Mountain News, and others. Russell holds a Ph.D. and a J.D. from Stanford University. Before joining DU in 2000, he was professor of law at the University of Texas for 10 years.  He has an excellent radio voice and is not afraid to use it.
