DU to host Dig Pink game Oct 10

The Pioneers volleyball team will play a Dig Pink game on Oct. 10. The game will raise money for the fight against breast cancer.

The Denver Pioneer volleyball team is teaming up with the Side-Out Foundation to host a Dig Pink game at noon Oct. 10 in DU’s Hamilton Gymnasium.

Dig Pink is a national breast cancer awareness rally taking place throughout the Sun Belt Conference volleyball season to help educate and raise money for the fight against breast cancer.

Proceeds raised will be donated by the team to fund breast cancer prevention, research and clinical trials. Attendees are encourages to wear pink and make a donation during the Pioneers’ match against Arkansas State.

The Side-Out Foundation was established in 2004 to raise money for the fight against breast cancer through the recreational activity of volleyball.
