Morgridges recognized for contributions to DU education program

Carrie and John Morgridge are being recognized for their support of education in the Denver area and throughout Colorado. The couple recently received the Distinguished Friend of Education Award.

The award, given by the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE), honors individuals whose volunteer services has helped advance education at a CASE member institution other than their alma mater.

The Morgridges have provided extensive financial and volunteer support to DU since 2004. They established the Morgridge Family Foundation, which contributed $10 million to construct a new building for the university’s College of Education. The Morgridges co-chaired the campaign and served on the building’s executive architectural committee.

The Morgridges are also dedicated to making sure educators have access to the latest technology, so they equipped classrooms with cutting-edge technological tools. Their commitment to the University extends to students, who are welcomed to their home for dinner and an opportunity to meet community leaders.

The Morgridges will be presented with the award at CASE’s Summit for Advancement Leaders on July 10 in San Francisco.
