Myhren Gallery presents annual graduate exhibit

DU’s Myhren Gallery will showcase the works of 17 graduating students beginning May 15. An opening reception will be held May 15 from 5–8 p.m.

For the first time, the “BFA/MFA Exhibition” will include works from students graduating from the Bachelors of Fine Arts (BFA) program and the Masters of Fine Arts (MFA) program in studio arts, pre-conservation and electronic media arts and design.

This annual presentation of works by students graduating from the DU School of Art and Art history is organized by Dan Jacobs, the gallery director.

MFA student Phillip Faulkner will create a large-scale projection on the building’s exterior, a first for an exhibition in the School of Art and Art History. Among other projects, pre-conservation majors Nicole Saint and Stefani Schulte will include pieces showcasing the restoration of a 1930s Edward Thompson mural in DU’s Margery Reed Building auditorium.

Participating BFA students are Laura Borneman, Bailey Ferguson, Mallory Freed, Britt Hoyl, Annie Kier, Justin Lascelle, Jesse Lindenberg, Christian Madsen, Shauna Medeiros, Nicole Saint, Stefani Schulte, Jennifer Segel, David Sprankle and Matthew Welton.

The three MFA students are Phillip Faulkner, Devin Monnens and Stacey Sotosky.
