DU, Colorado College presidents place friendly wager on Battle on Blake hockey game

University of Denver Chancellor Rebecca Chopp has issued a challenge to her friend and Colorado College President Jill Tiefenthaler in advance of the Battle on Blake hockey game, which will take place Feb. 20 at Coors Field.

If DU wins the game, Tiefenthaler will bake Chopp’s favorite dessert – rhubarb pie. And if CC wins, Chopp will use the facilities at DU’s Fritz Knoebel School of Hospitality Management to bake Tiefenthaler’s favorite dessert, cupcakes. The baking wager has been dubbed Battle on BAKE on social media outlets.

This hockey game is of particular importance as it will be the first collegiate hockey game played at Coors Field, and the first time in history rivals DU and CC face off in an outdoor match.

The CC Tigers have a current record of 6-21-1. The DU Pioneers are 15-8-5.

The Battle on Blake starts at 6:10 p.m.
