The No. 17-ranked DU gymnastics team wraps up the regular season at 6 p.m. Saturday, when it hosts No. 19 Minnesota, No. 25 Arizona State and Iowa in Magness Arena. The meet will be streamed live on Pioneer Vision.
The Pioneers are coming off the sixth-best score in school history, a 196.725 in an upset over No. 9 Oregon State and Texas Woman’s University last Saturday. For the first time this season, the Pioneers hit all 24 routines and scored above a 49.000 on all four events.
Sophomore Moriah Martin won her third all-around title (39.400) and her seventh vault title (9.900). Sophomore Jorie Hall won the beam title with a career-high 9.925, and senior Louise Mercer won a share of the floor title, tallying a 9.925.
The Crimson and Gold are 10–5 all-time against Minnesota, 2–13 all-time against Arizona State (195.145) and 5–3 all-time against Iowa (194.980).
The Pioneers will honor Mercer, their lone 2012 senior, at the conclusion of the meet.
