Pioneer skier Antje Maempel was named to the ESPN The Magazine academic All -America women’s first team as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America.

Maempel has a 3.74 GPA in finance.

In 2010, she became the second woman in NCAA history to sweep the individual NCAA titles in both classical and freestyle skiing in consecutive years, while leading the Pioneers to their third-straight and 21st overall NCAA championship this season.

She led the Pioneers to their 20th national championship in 2009 by picking up titles in both classical and the freestyle, making Maempel the second Pioneer woman to win both events at the NCAA championships.
