Men’s lacrosse player Wesley Berg makes his Denver Outlaws debut tonight at Mile High

The 2015 NCAA Champion University of Denver men’s lacrosse team will be honored at halftime of tonight’s Denver Outlaws game against the Ohio Machine at Sports Authority Field at Mile High. The opening faceoff is set for 7 p.m. MT. Tewaaraton Finalist and NCAA Tournament MOP Wesley Berg will make his professional debut for the hometown Outlaws.

Denver became the first school to win a National Championship west of Chapel Hill, N.C. Head coach Bill Tierney brought home his seventh National Championship on Memorial Day, becoming the first coach in NCAA men’s Division I to win a national title with two different programs. The Pioneers finished the campaign 17-2, recording the most wins in the program’s history.

DU’s senior class finished with a combined record of 56-17, reaching three Championship Weekends, four NCAA Quarterfinals and capping off their career’s with the program’s first national title.

The Denver Outlaws’ Steinfeld Trophy and the Denver Pioneers’ NCAA Championship Trophy will be available for fan photo opportunities at section 105 for the first quarter and half of the second.
